FAQ
Washington Flat Fee MLS Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about packages, pricing and how MLS coverage works in Washington.
View packages- What is a flat fee MLS listing?
- A flat fee MLS listing puts your home on the MLS for one set price instead of a percentage-based listing commission. Your home is visible to the agents who use the MLS, while you stay in control of pricing, showings and offers.
- How much does it cost?
- There are two packages: Standard at $299 and Premium at $349. You pay the package price up front.
- What is included in Standard?
- Standard ($299) includes a 6-month MLS listing with up to 25 photos, the required Washington listing forms and disclosures, listing status changes while active, and your contact information shown on the MLS.
- What is included in Premium?
- Premium ($349) includes everything in Standard, with up to 50 photos. The listing term is 6 months.
- Which MLS will my Washington property be listed on?
- It depends on where the property is. Northwest MLS (NWMLS) covers most of western Washington and parts of central Washington. Other Washington areas are served by regional MLSs, including RMLS in Southwest Washington, Pacific Regional MLS (PACMLS) in the Tri-Cities area, and Spokane MLS in the Spokane area. Your MLS is confirmed with you when your listing is set up.
- Do Washington MLS systems share listings with each other?
- Not automatically. Each MLS is a separate system. Your listing is placed on the MLS that serves your property's area.
- Do I have to offer a buyer-agent commission?
- No. You are not required to offer compensation to a buyer's agent in order to list. Any buyer-agent compensation is something you can negotiate, typically as part of an offer.
- Where will my listing appear besides the MLS?
- MLS listing data may be shared with brokerage websites and consumer real estate websites through MLS data feeds and syndication. Each MLS and each website controls whether and how listings are displayed, so specific websites cannot be guaranteed.
- How do buyers and agents contact me?
- Your contact information is shown on the MLS so agents can contact you directly. On public real estate websites, buyers may contact the listing office, and optional Call Forwarding can route those calls to your preferred phone number.
- Are there fees when my home sells?
- No. There are no closing, settlement or success fees charged by this service — only the upfront package price.
- How long does it take to go live?
- After you order, your listing is prepared from the details, forms and photos you provide. Your listing goes live once the required paperwork is complete and the listing has been entered on the MLS.
- Who handles my order?
- Washington Flat Fee MLS orders are processed by Brokerless, Inc., which provides the listing service and payment processing for this site.
